“Lighter than a Feather” series

This series was painted in the winter of 2020.  A foggy winter morning with a gorgeous clear day beckoning over rural NSW. The landscape is represented in fragmented geometric shapes with pattern and rhythmic lines creating sinuous movement and a play of colour.

A poem by Walterrean Salley

Lighter than a feather

On the wings of morn,

The fog creeps

With a silent tone.

From the skies

Onto the ground,

It touches the trees

And all around.

And, so, with marvel-

We tend to admire

The fog’s ability

To inspire.
